Epilepsy
Foundation of South Australia
As part of
the ongoing dedication to people with epilepsy the Epilepsy
Foundation of South Australia was formed in 1996.
The Epilepsy
Foundation of South Australia is for the benefit of
any person with epilepsy, living in South Australia,
the Northern Territory or areas bordering the state
of South Australia.
The aim of
the Foundation is to promote research and education
in the social and medical aspects of epilepsy and to
support such other epilepsy related activities as the
Board of the Foundation may from time to time determine.
The Epilepsy
Foundation of South Australia manages a Trust Fund formed
from donations and bequests. The income from this fund
is used to support the objectives of the Foundation.
What
the Foundation aims to do
The Foundation
will call for applications and will consider them for
relevance to one or more of the following objectives:
- Support
to individuals with epilepsy, and to their families
- Assistance
to support groups and other agencies relating to people
with epilepsy
- Facilitating
the provision of services for people with epilepsy
- Publication
of information on epilepsy
- Education
of the community on epilepsy
- Support
of research on the social implications of epilepsy
for persons with epilepsy and for their families
- Support
of research into epilepsy and the basic mechanisms
which may cause it
How
to Financially Contribute to the Trust Fund
The income
through donations and bequests to the Foundation Trust
Fund ensure the continued exploration into this disorder.
The Foundation
seeks donations from individuals and grants from corporations,
semi-government and government bodies to supplement
the Trust Fund.

to Apply for a Grant from the Trust Fund
If you are
planning to apply for a grant in support of a project
relating to one or more of the seven objectives set
