the Epilepsy Association of
South Australia and the Northern Territory Inc (EASANT)
The Epilepsy Association of South Australia and the Northern
Territory Inc (EASANT) was formed by a group of concerned
parents in 1976 to provide support and information to all
people affected by epilepsy. From this group we have developed
into an incorporated body with a Board of Management and numerous
support groups in the metropolitan and country regions throughout
South Australia and the Northern Territory.
The Epilepsy Centre, 25 Kilkenny Road, Woodville Park SA
5011, is the base of operations for administration and services
of the Epilepsy Association of South Australia and the Northern
Territory Inc (EASANT). It is also the Centre for administration
of the Epilepsy Foundation of South Australia.
The Epilepsy Centre is open from 9 am – 5 pm Monday
to Friday

The Epilepsy Association of South Australia and the Northern
Territory Inc (EASANT) is also a founding member of Epilepsy
Australia Ltd – “the national coalition of Australian
epilepsy associations dedicated to improving the quality of
life of people with epilepsy”.
Philosophy
The Epilepsy Association of South Australia and the Northern
Territory Inc (EASANT) is committed to provide high quality,
cost-effective, accessible services without discrimination.
It recognises and respects the rights of all people with epilepsy
and their right to be treated with dignity and integrity.
The Association undertakes to represent people with epilepsy
in advocacy, in counselling, in the promotion of support groups,
in the provision of literature and other material and in access
to recreation and leisure activities.
It aims to improve health status of people with epilepsy
through the provision of preventative health programmes, health
promotion and the provision of quality services. It also aims
to deliver appropriate services effectively and efficiently.
